We are well into our second year
as an active ham radio club. The club approach is very informal
as are our monthly meetings. See our
meeting notes for details on our progress
in the first year. At
a recent meeting, we had presentations on ARES/RACES, the
linking project to McClure, the Simplex Repeaters and a
short intro to APRS.
The direction this club
takes will be "steered" by those who attend our monthly meetings as well as by those few souls who were
with us at the
start-up gate. We encourage you to share your
thoughts on how to help our club grow and become more of
an asset to the Methow Valley and Okanogan county.
Membership is as simple as asking to join. Dues
are $10 annually. If you can't afford it, don't
worry about it. We simply would like you to join
us.
We welcome YL's, XYL's
and visitors. We are actively trying to get the word out to
the community to bring on long-time hams as well as attract
folks who are interested in becoming a ham. Please
spread the word or contact us for more information. |
